GARY CLARK - HEAD COACH
Coach Clark comes to Westlake with a wealth of knowledge and experience in football. He has been a teacher and high school coach for over 30 years. He comes to Westlake via Kealakehe HS, Timpview HS, Leilehua HS and Aiea HS. He has been an influence in many young men's lives who went on to play college and professional football including former Head Coach Jason Walker. A former player Adrian Murrell (NY Jets, AZ Cardinals, WA Redskins, Dallas Cowboys) nominated Coach Clark for the NFL High School Coach of the Year award in 1998. He was selected over four other finalists - Ed Burke, Torrey Pines High School, San Diego; Len Corto, New Britain High School, Connecticut; Steve Hardin, Rutherford High School, Panama City, Fla., and John Stineman, Centennial High School, Utica, Nebraska.

Ben has served as the Quarterback Coach and JV Offensive Coordinator at Westlake HS since 2009. He teaches history at Westlake High School. Ben is a graduate of West High School - 1993 where he was team captain in football, basketball, and baseball. He received All State honors in both Football (quarterback) and Baseball (pitcher). He attended Snow College and later Arizona State University on Baseball Scholarships prior to playing professional baseball in the Milwaukee Brewers organization.

Westlake High School Thunder opened their first season in August 2009 under Head Coach Jason Walker. He served as Head Coach from 2009 - 2011. Coach Walker came to Westlake after 10 years as Assistant Coach and Defensive Coordinator at Timpview High School. He taught history at Timpview before receiving his Masters Degree from the Marriott School at BYU. He is the Assistant City Administrator/ Human Resources Director at Eagle Mountain City.

Jerry Willis started coaching football at Pleasant Valley High School, Chico California in 1996. He was the Assistant Head Freshman Coach. Jerry specialized on the offense working directly with the Offensive Backs. He also has experience working with the secondary team. In 2008, Jerry was hired by the NFL to coach in the Junior Player Development Camp. His favorite part of coaching is "seeing kids work hard for something they really want and seeing their hard work payoff with the success of winning".
